Our Lower School is designed around one conviction: your child deserves to be truly known, fully loved, and challenged to become all God made them to be. We believe this conviction instills confidence in your child that lasts for years to come.

"Welcome to Lower School at Maranatha Christian Academy! This is a place where curious minds grow, faith takes root, and every child discovers who they're made to be. Our students don't just learn academics here—they learn that they are known, loved, and full of potential. We can't wait to welcome your family!"
Our Lower School academic philosophy is built on joyful rigor. We develop strong readers, confident problem-solvers, and curious thinkers—not by rushing students toward the next milestone, but by building deep, durable foundations. Rich literacy, hands-on math, STEM exploration, and fine arts aren't separate silos here. They're woven together as an integrated pursuit of God's world.
Our teachers are more than skilled educators—they're called to this work. They know that forming a child well means knowing that child well. With smaller class sizes, a 13:1 student-teacher ratio, and a deeply relational culture, your child won't get lost in the crowd. They'll be challenged, encouraged, and held to expectations that honor who God made them to be.
In the Lower School, the Christian faith is not a separate subject–it is the cohesive lens through which we explore God's world. From daily classroom rhythms to biblical integration in science, reading, and history, we guide students to anchor their identity Above. We are committed to instilling a resilient faith that anchors their identity now and guides their decisions for life.
Service learning is a core, celebrated component of our Lower School culture. Through age-appropriate, hands-on projects, we teach our students the profound value of empathy, stewardship, and community impact. They learn early on that their academic gifts are tools meant to actively bless and serve others in the name of Christ.

"Every student is shown the love of Jesus here. My daughter has grown both spiritually and academically—and she genuinely loves coming to school."
Our Lower School team is ready to meet your family, answer your questions, and show you first hand what sets Maranatha apart.
