As students experience the shifts of middle school-changes in friendships, identity, and influences-we believe it's necessary to strategically equip them for what's ahead. Offering a learning environment filled with support and accountability, Maranatha's middle school helps pre-teens navigate growing independence with their identity firmly anchored in Christ--known by name, surrounded by people who are for them, and prepared for coming academic demands.

We transition from foundational skill-building to advanced critical thinking and complex problem-solving. Core subjects are taught with exceptional rigor, challenging students to analyze information, articulate their thoughts clearly, and defend their ideas. We equip them with the habits and practices that help them thrive in demanding academic environments—because high school is closer than it seems.
We offer a full lineup of advanced coursework across the sciences, mathematics, humanities, and biblical studies. Beyond core requirements, students are invited to explore their God-given talents through comprehensive elective offerings, including STEM courses, robotics, fine arts, and physical education—ensuring a well-rounded foundation that prepares them for what God has ahead.
Our middle school educators are subject matter experts who also specialize in early adolescent development, providing tailored guidance on the questions and challenges students encounter at this age. They view their role as essential mentors, offering the balance of grace and accountability that middle schoolers need. Our teachers actively partner with parents to guide students through the social and academic shifts of these years, ensuring every student is deeply known, firmly supported, and constantly encouraged to look above to Christ.
We tackle this critical phase in faith formation head-on by weaving a biblical worldview into every aspect of our curriculum. Students are encouraged to ask hard questions, engage in age-appropriate apologetics, and discover how God's truth speaks into real-world issues. We are forming graduates who will enter the world with a resilient, articulate Christian faith—one they've made their own.
At Maranatha Christian Academy, leadership begins with service. We challenge middle school students to look beyond themselves and recognize the needs of their community. Through structured service learning and hands-on projects, students discover the weight and joy of their own impact—and learn that Christ-like leadership is demonstrated, not declared.

"I love how the teachers are willing to adapt their teaching styles to my children…They lead with grace and love. They consistently work to build relationships with kids…and seek to understand how they can partner with parents to help the child the best way they can."
