Recognized among the “Best of 2025” in the West Metro, our summer programs provide Christ-centered enrichment and athletic training, making our campus a year-round hub of growth, development, and community engagement.

Summer learning loss, also known as the "summer slide," refers to the academic setbacks students can experience when they are away from the classroom for an extended period. Studies show that without regular practice, students—especially in math and reading—can lose valuable skills gained during the school year.
To help prevent this and ensure a strong start in the fall, we’ve included summer math and reading requirements designed to keep students engaged, sharp, and ready to learn.
Are you looking for a way to help build your student's academic self-confidence, prevent summer learning loss, and maintain, or even build, learning momentum? Do you need to give your student extra skill practice to master concepts or get a head start on next year's curriculum? If so, then summer tutoring through Learning Support Services may be a good fit for you!
Summer at Maranatha offers plenty of opportunities for students entering Grades 1–6 during our summer program, including the return of weekly field trips, Water Wednesdays, Crunch Week, inflatables, and more! We provide an active, fun-filled summer focused on project-based learning distinct to MCA's mission and vision of building up co-creators for tomorrow's new world.
This summer, our program theme is “SUBMERGED,” designed to help students dive deeply into their faith while exploring God’s truths in a fun and engaging way! For our older students, we will also address the realities of life’s pressures... whether from school, friendships, or the broader world. Just as a submarine experiences increasing pressure the deeper it dives, life’s challenges can feel overwhelming and hard to navigate. Yet God promises to be with us, offering strength and guidance. Through stories, activities, and biblical teaching, students will learn that God’s presence can carry them through life’s pressures. Our hope is that each child will come away with a deeper understanding of how to live anchored in Christ, no matter the challenges they face.

Our summer program is open to current MCA students and students from the local community. To participate in Maranatha’s summer programming, all student(s) and families not enrolled in MCA are required to go through an informal interview to ensure families and students align with our mission, vision, and values as a Christian school. This ensures partnership among families and students as you entrust your kids into our care.
Maranatha Christian Academy offers a project-based approach to PreK and Kindergarten summer programming. During the summer, students ages 3–entering Kindergarten will continue to learn and grow in a fun and engaging environment.
